    TakingITGlobal online volunteers now have the chance to share their volunteer stories with the world! Created as a sub-set of our widely popular Member Stories, this new section will feature submission from our very own online volunteers as a way to 'inspire, inform and involve' other young leaders.

    If you are a TIG volunteer, this is your chance to let others know about the work that you do and what inspires you, so we hope you will consider sharing your story with us!     Romina Oliverio is Online Communities Manager and Volunteer Coordinator for NABUUR, the Global Neighbour Network. Romina was previously involved with Social Actions as Volunteer Coordinator for their Change the Web campaign, a contributing writer for we-magazine and has volunteered with Amnesty International in Toronto, helping out with their communications/social media campaign.
    Romina is interested in activism; virtual volunteering; photojournalism; social media; nptech; and every thing else that has the power to connect and engage people, and facilitate social change.

    Damian Profeta is a journalist from Argentina who has been involved in an impressive array of social initiatives since 1995. At the age of 19, Damian founded the Vientos del Sur Association and served as its Executive Director from 2002 to 2005. He has also been a leader of national chapters of several world-wide campaigns, executing projects on youth empowerment, supporting emerging young leaders and collaborating with organizations such as UNESCO, the Inter-American Development Bank Youth Program, the International Youth Parliament, TakingITGlobal, and the Global Youth Action Network.   • Live Chat on On-line Volunteering November 19, 2009 | 12:07 PM

    TakingITGlobal and Nabuur's Live Chat on Online Volunteering took place yesterday and it was a truly inspiring and energizing event! Participants had the opportunity to hear from international experts who shared tips and insights on the rich world of on-line volunteering, while experts had the chance to engage in conversation with a diverse group of young leaders. The attendance was high and our participants joined us from all corners of the world. Together, we discussed how volunteers can connect with each other, contribute their time and skill for a cause, and collaborate on-line to affect change.
